YG has had a pretty good track record on renewing recently.

BIGBANG - 2020

AKMU - 2021

WINNER - 2021

YG also has a pretty good success rate in renewing their actors. They probably have one of the biggest actor rosters in Korea and has some pretty big names. Actors in Korea are notorious for label hopping frequently, so it's quite the feat to have so many renewals.

It appears initial YG contracts are 7 years and renewals are 5 year increments.

Up next is iKON in 2022 and BLACKPINK in 2023. Given YG's track record, most likely they'll renew.

AKMU cited YG's deep resources and connections as one of the main reasons for their renewal. Also having artistic freedom.

YG is pretty well-known in the industry for having extremely artist-friendly, lucrative contracts. And renewals seem to be even more artist beneficial.
