I think he said he was too greedy. Plus he rightfully got shit on for favoritism and invading what was, a more underground rap scene at the time.

personally i still don't think vernon is good enough for SMTM, alot of idol rappers aren't, but so many things factor in such a your voice, knowing how to process it/not process it, and when to change flows/overall style. Its very hard to gauge that when we have SO little rapping material to go off of from idol rappers.

raping for your 12 seconds of lines (if your lucky) and carrying a whole 3 minute song with a chorus is a completely different thing, especially when it comes to rap.
