2nd gen vs 3rd gen hits: more iconic?

I don't get the hype of 2nd gen. Most of the music is odd. I find 3rd gen more iconic with a few exceptions from 2nd gen (replay)

2G. A lot groups, not just big 3, could get huge hits including national level. Some of them are still iconic and popular even years and years on.

Second gen - not only because that is my era of K pop, but it's when K pop was K pop. Less westernized. The groups and songs then were iconic and are still looked at with fondness. Nothing will compare to it imo.

2nd gen is the only acceptable answer for me when both boy groups and girl groups songs were equally popular with general public

Both are iconic in their own way since both have done significant things for k-pop,but imma go with 2nd gen because nostalgia.

3rd gen. 2nd gen has more top groups but I like 3rd gen songs the most

2nd since they've been around longer for them to hit iconic status

I can only speak personally, but I much prefer 3rd gen to 2nd gen. I do love some 2nd gen songs, but most just sound super dated to me.

2nd gen got called as golden age for nothing. I think most of group in that era released many anthem.

3rd gen for me.
