  • 4th grade is the grade that i root for the most and i want all of them to just debut together but i know it's not possible ;(

btw i lurk on their subreddit and they said that the 2122 quota is not there anymore? How is this show functioning it's so confusing, can someone explain?

lol REALLY?!? Jesus, this show is such a mess. Honestly I'm not even mad because I always thought this quota system was an unneccessary (and unfair) constraint. But dropping it like that mid show just because? It's like the producers are improvising, throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks.

It's nerve wracking for the viewers, and even worse for the contestants themselves I bet.

I didn't watch the show so there could be mistake from my part, but even since last episode (or maybe even before that?) there have been talks that there won't be quota for each grade. Apparantly the producer already mentioned before the show started that the debut team won't have quota for each grades. Why didn't they mention it again when it airs i have no idea.

The current debut team have the advabtadge of choosing song and part, but anyone from any grade can "steal" anybody's spot :pepe-life-support:

  • What I've seen from spoilers is that the current debut team they made this episode will face off 1v1 with people from the winning team between the remaining contestants who are split into 2 groups and compete each other. The mentors supposedly select the winner between the 2 and then from the 1v1 battles with the debut the lineup changed to 1114 with every grade except 4th grade only getting 1 spot. I don't if what I'm saying makes sense because of how confusing everything is.

Lol this is the most confusing survival show ever. I barely understand the previous system and now they have a different system ?(

  • Does anyone still actually doubt this show is rigged?

I mean if the 2000/2000 result wasn't obvious enough, all this last minute retro-active changes should raise your eyebrows

They literally said on camera "the first spot in the debut group will go to the Juniors" when Hyun-hee came first in that First Ranking reveal in Ep 04, that was clearly ret-conned, because under these new rules there can technically be ZERO Juniors in the Debut Group, and I am sure they said similar for each of the other Debut Group Grade reveals which all now mean exactly nothing

The Producers will get the lineup they desired from the beginning or very very close to it, this is much more akin to a scripted Drama series than an actual Talent show, focus now will be on Evil edits and Angel edits to get you the viewer to mostly agree or at-least accept who the Producers have picked

Unfortunately this is just like every single other one of these Talent shows in Korea

  • Does anyone still actually doubt this show is rigged?

Actually, you don't need to rig anything when you make the rules on the spot. The only thing to rig is the results of the online vote, but they never said these results would ultimately decide who's in the debut group anyway. Plus, it's quite clear that their faves (like Yooyeon) are already ranked highly by the online voters.

The only thing they're trying to accomodate right now imo is how to manage the suspense until the end. Since they announced the composition of the debut line-up (2122) the writing has been on the wall when it comes to who's gonna debut or not, so they're most likely trying to keep things interesting by making it not too obvious.
