Why did armys ever think HYBE was different?

  • People really convinced themselves that HYBE was some morally superior company that wouldn't sell the BTS members SWEAT if it meant they could make money off of it. It's been funny to watch all those delusions fade away with the NFT talk and this merch that they are selling for absolutely ridiculous prices...and people are buying it too, which makes it even funnier. Not to mention those armys who spent years shitting on YG (deserved lmao, the company is literally run by criminals) and acting like HYBE was so much better and hated YG as much as armys only for HYBE to literally get in business with them. Must be fun seeing that YG Plus logo on all your new albums

everyone sucks here. (in this situation).

i'll readily admit as an Army i thought Big Hit was totally harmless and feel-good up until it became Hybe, then suddenly my POV shifted. i didn't shit on other companies bc that behavior is fucking weird, but i did think BH was special. welp those days are gone. i guess it was because the boys rarely had complaints about the company, if ever, and they're super close with Bang PD, which seems to not be a norm within k-pop.

speaking of the merch, you pay for what you get. everything i've ordered has always been super high quality and i'm glad they've stuck to that. i will say some of the prices are fucking ridiculous but it's not just them. what can i say, capitalism makes the world go round lol

  • not even an army but you just sound jealous LOL

  • Anyway, looking at the way HYBE is managing their artists in general compared to other companies, im still going to say that i think HYBE is a great company. not exactly sure about what they'll do with bts, but looking at how they take care of other groups im comparison to what the other big 3 companies are doing- id pretty much side with HYBE any day.

  • it's Kpop fans' mentality. every company stan thinks their favorite company is superior until something big happens that breaks that image. YG was once a good company who cared more about the artists than money until Burning Sun happened. Hybe is a new company and they seem to be doing fine nowadays but I admit there are signs that it could turn worse. The company stans are just in denial now but if more and more stupid decisions will be made like the NFT ones, it would turn more and more fans away (it's already happening though)

  • You sound like a loser who's been waiting a long time to have your gotcha moment towards army. And a yg stan from the sound of it. No offense

  • Bighit was and still the best label methinks. Hybe is another monster with shareholders to answer too.

Anyway from what I can see, YG is doing the distribution of albums, kinda like working for Hybe. Don’t know why you think that will make people go mad lol.

  • I just wanna know, who's "other kpop fans" lmao

I've heard of kpop fans saying they should leave the company, but never "come to hybe" :/

It's everywhere. any label that is connected to hybe in any way, shape, or form. the fans of the groups under that label will scream "go to hybe" when their faves aren't being treated good. it sucks these idols are treated that way by hybe isn't an adoption center for lost kpop idols

The first part is true idk why. It's not like hybe is exceptional either.

  • HYBE is freaking company! I'm an army and I never cared about Hybe because I'm not a freaking business major and BTS resigned so they obvi think this company is the best choice. I choose to stay in a fan's place and don't feel the need to bottle feed BTS like their helpless babies. It really makes my experience wonderful!

  • All kpop companies are the same. No ones superior.

  • kpoppers are a funny breed

  • It's a basic business thing. When everyone wants your product (in this case millions of Armys) it makes sense to set a high price.

    A) It stops people from crashing the site and being furious that they didn't get their hands on a set of $20 pyjamas, B) The people who would have missed out but bought from ebay scalpers may get to cut out the middle man and pay the extortionate amount straight to the company, and C) The company makes more money and it likes that.

  • Anyway, with the new restrictions on mass album buying, the fandom will have more cash freed up for expensive badges.

  • In general Army's always needed that not-like-other-girls energy from Big Hit. Of course they've been forced to change in the last few years.
