just because the other 4th gen groups before them failed to achieve anything impressive (except skz) it doesn't mean they began the generation. but they are the ones who will make it blow up and lead it for sure

Yes, the generations officially changed with their phenomenal success over the last year.

SKZ, TXT, ATEEZ, Itzy etc are all gen 3.5 timing-wise.

They'll be dusted in the near future by groups like Enhypen, Aespa, Ive, and the yet to come groups from Hybe, YG, JYPn etc.

Like SHINee, 2PM, INFINITE, f(x), 2NE1, Miss A, SISTAR were 2.5 gen and never quite matched the likes of the real 2nd gen groups like TVXQ, SS501, BIGBANG, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, KARA, and Wonder Girls.

Enhypen opened nothing, they aren't even top 2 for 4th gen BG's and including GG's ain't even top 5 overall.

I think 4th gen opened with itzy. As for boy groups it's treasure and enhypen too.

Aesoa didn't open a generation just because they got better achievements than others. It's about the time of the debut amd the diversity that matters.

Itzy already got washed by Aespa and Ive this last year. The new JPY girl group is going to send Itzy out to pasture.
