    You do realize Blackpink have been charting since 2018 and have been doing it without website sales since Ice Cream right

    BTS charted #4 with ON in 2020 without digital sales, before dynamite/Butter and everything else that happened after MOTS7 .

    they won't be affected (except their longevity).

    unless another group has a VIRAL VIRAL hit, no one except for bts and bp will be able to chart on this list.

    For now no one. It was already difficult with the previous rules. Even Twice barely made it with the more lax rules before now it will be impossible.


    BTS longevity may be affected. But maybe since only one sale will count that will help funds to last longer and thus help longevity in some way?


    For Blackpink their ability to debut high may be extremely affected. The only way I see a top 10 debut is if they get on a very successful song for a collaboration.


    But among the new groups if I'm being generous then Enhypen? That's only if they're extremely lucky and happen to go viral in the right places.

    with the new buying rules, charting will be mostly reliant on streams (unless they organise themselves incredibly well) & nct aren't known for being well streamed?


    not even shady, they have decent numbers, but not good enough for charting on the hot100.

    maybe a tiktok viral song could be their way in, but that won't be consistently.

    Sm stans getting brave with their new faves when their original faves couldn't sniff hot100. With that unlistenable noise sm is the last company to have a song on hot100. Wait they already are :teeheek:

    Is there something to suggest they have a US breakthrough coming? An appearance on US Spotify? Charting on Bubbling Under? Charting on Canadian Hot 100? These are all things the groups who do chart in the US did first before they ever appeared on Hot 100
