No I don't think the genre itself is misogynistic. It's just that misogyny is a worldwide problem, existing in all fields and all jobs. It's not specific to kpop itself.

Engineering, cooking, sales, marketing, finance...

Any male dominated field is going to have issues with misogyny, and while there have been recent changes with putting more women in power at these companies, that on its own isn't going to fix everything. It's funny since I literally just finished watching "The Platform" which has this same message, where once people get to the top, they feel they were owed it and getting there doesn't guarantee an interest in looking out for the people who are now below you.
