I've finished watching My Sassy Girl and uff, it was hard to finish it.
The film is just saved because of the finale, but I think it has the most toxic couple I've seen in a "romantic" movie, the whole movie is the FL humiliating physically and mentally the ML and the ML accepting it like "yeah, ofc, keep it on queen" like wtf was that.
Hey but don't worry because she has a perfect excuse to keep that personality, she lost her boyfriend, ohh how sad, so I will go to someone and abuse him because I want him to be like my dead boyfriend. Perfect, just perfect.
And you can say, "but it's realistic, some people deals with a loss being toxic to the actual partner because they still love the one before", and it's true, but if the first thing you do to one person is throw punches to him/her, she or he will run from you, nobody will stand a physical abusive relationship from moment one.
I would have loved the movie if it was more realistic, the FL not being an MMA fighter with her boyfriend and the ML having a little more of dignity.
