Stop with this cowardly stupid narrative. Many self proclaimed SM stans criticised the song and many non fans loved it. Stop trying to force labels onto people just to dismiss their opinions.

It's an OK song. I don't hate it but I'm not a fan either. Mostly because of the lyrics.

If you want to sell me a group with that strong, female empowerment image, you've got to give them lyrics that reflect that. Don't get me wrong, talking about how awesome your partner is can be genuinely sweet, but here it just come across as this kind of weird flex? I can literally imagine that guy they're singing about, sitting in a corner, a smug expression on his face, as these women fight over who gets to have him.

Maybe I'm overthinking it. But that was the image the song conjured up in my mind and why it's not really working for me.

I'm ARMY. The song was better than Jopping (which it was being compared to in the main). I wouldn't listen to it on Spotify though. Performance hard carried the song.

The song's not that bad, if you don't know Korean. Once you read the lyrics, you might rethink. They got vocalist so nothing to talk about there. Since the group is Girls On Top, I would assumed they come out with a much stronger song, a song empowering woman or something of similar, but they got 7 ladies talking about some guy or no one should touch their man lol. Who wrote that crap.

Like the most vocal detectors seem to be fans of SM groups. And maybe they thought SM would bring their A game to this project. When it was obvious to me that they wouldn't.

I think the song was bad and lame even ignoring the lyrics, not bothered by them. Also make no mistake! this song is probably going to do very well in south korea, taeyeon is in it after all so this is not me saying it wil flop

i used to like some sm songs in the past but nowadays they are going for these tryhard futuristic mashup contruction megazord frying pan noise sound for their newer groups and it all sounds just like horse poop.

It sounds like every other NCT or aespa song. SM keeps releasing that kind of music as long people dig into it.

I like how liking a song means you're brainwashed.

I personally like it, but it's the noisy style of SM music that's very polarizing so I was already expecting a mixed reaction to it when I first heard it. It will probably be successful regardless so can't blame SM for making it.

Not a sm stan, but I prefer step back compare to next level. Cringe lyrics aside, I don't get the outrage considering almost all sm songs also has cringe lyrics. I mean sm was never known for their meaningful lyrics.

And I hate the comparison towards burning sun that kpop stan has lately (both for got and that trainee a kid). Burning sun is a criminal scandal. Seems pretty disrespectful to the victims to compare cringe lyrics to burning sun issues.

Blink here. I thought it was okay, some parts were jarring to the ears...and then I heard the issue about the lyrics. I had high hopes but SM is sabotaging their own artists.

Sm is doing this on purpose. I have seen this before with superm. They make controversies with these super groups and then sm stans who don't stan other sm groups start sympathising for those groups and stanning them. By making people hating on this group they are making sm stans become a stronger breed and start supporting aespa for making this cringey experimental music.
