I have been a kpop fan since 2011 and I have never had such a problem. It depends on how invested you are in the kpop groups you stan, the state of the kpop spaces you visit, and how much you can tolerate
Am I the only one who's mental health has never never been destroyed by being a Kpop Stan?

Not from toxic fandoms or anything but I was depressed from late 2017-mid 2018 and thought about quitting being a kpop stan
As far as fandoms go if you find a good community you'll never have to deal with the toxic side. It took me a little while but I've been able to control my experience

Becoming a kpop stan helped my mental health a lot. Though I have had slumps here and there, it has never been because of kpop

lol there's thousands of long standing kpop fans that are perfectly normal people
you just dont see them on places like reddit or twitter

Being a kpop fan has never affected me emotionally, but I have met people through kpop that ended up affecting me in a negative way. But that could happen anywhere.

I've been in the game since 2011 and it hasn't affected me. I don't take K pop seriously like other fans and being a more mature fan have a handle on it. I also don't partake on social media so can avoid most of the toxicity (except on here of course). I just do my own thing and don't really care for others' opinions. I have also taken a hiatus for a couple of years which I think everyone should do once in a while. I already suffer mental health issues so can't afford something as superficial as K pop to take over.
