I voted for 3 releases per year, but tbh even 1 release per year is a lot! Kpop is crazy in how fast new music is delivered for the fans. With non kpop artists there was a case, where I had to wait 10 years for a new album. Waiting for a few years to have a new song/album is quite normal outside of kpop, I think (maybe it depends on the music genre). I'm still kinda overwhelmed with those differences. I love to have a lot of music to listen to, but sometimes it's a little concerning to think how much hardworking are people in kpop industry. I wish there were more balance for them as well. (probably I should change my vote then, but anyway)

Considering three "releases" doesn't necessarily mean "three full albums" then I don't think the overworked part is automatically a given. A group could release three singles and technically have less overall content/work than a group that released one full album.
But I like having lots of songs to appreciate and the hype with the fandom over new releases, so I'd rather have more than fewer. Don't care about sales as long as they are high enough for the group to continue.

Fair, but at the same time, western artists (at least) tend to have LONG legs on their albums. It's not this drop of an album and only 3-5 weeks of promoting one song and that's it. Like Katy Perry's Teenage Dream album had seven singles released off of it over two years. For another genre, Papa Roach has already promoted three singles throughout this year for their upcoming 2022 album, which will probably have at least another one to four songs promoted off it next year.
