    unaliving jokes arent funny in the slightest, like, i dont care how normalized it is. Countless people have lost their lives and attempted, and y'all really wanna sit here and excuse the remark because it's normal to make jokes like that now. Here's my question; Why are these types of remarks normalized even though they're obviously insensitive??


    Im really considering that I stop supporting them because I dont want to support another controversial idol. She knows what she said, she's a fully grown adult, not a child. All I ask from companies is that they educate their idols, not just on this, but on ANYTHING. I'm tired of seeing them constantly appropriate cultures, say slurs, etc. It's not funny, nor is it acceptable in the slightest.

    most of your thread was about the second point you made in the op. it was just a phrase. if you get so offended by that, then what about all the cuss words (which mean even more vile shit than simply saying "I wanna commit suicide").

    As someone who has attempted suicide I don't think it's insensitive at all. It's just a phrase meant to express a certain feeling. I don't mind suicide jokes either. It's good to be able to laugh about it. Life is cruel enough as it is and I'd personally find it way worse if people started tiptoeing around the issue and made it into this taboo thing that you shouldn't even crack a joke about.

    Stop policing how people talk and stop making them feel guilty about everything they do and say. That pressure can very negatively affect sometimes mental health as well.
