Home renovation or vacation?

I don't own a house to renovate so I'd choose a vacation (now we're allowed again).

Depends on what the repairs are for. If it's something that's nice to have, like IDK replacing office carpet, then obviously that can wait in a way that, say, replacing your furnace may not be able to. You don't want to end up in a position where you spent the money and the repair forced your hand.

Like for me, I have to get my siding replaced because I discovered birds were pecking at soft spots in the wood, and I'm now at risk at my house under the siding getting exposed to the elements, leading to potential water damage, mold, bug infestations, etc. Much more expensive to repair all that later if I blew my money on a vacation.
