can someone tell me how well kpop sales are doing in comparison to western artists?

is lisa getting 950k album sales normal if you compare it with western artists like taylor swift and billie ? are 4th gen boygroups getting 2mill+ album sales better then how much western artists are selling? is this normal ? i tried to find out how much albums olivia rodrigo sold but i only got streaming numbers so idk

kpop idols usually sell more physical albums because of the photocard collection culture. Western artists rely on digitals more than physical aspect. That doesn't mean their stans don't mass buy though.

Someone on Twitter said they ate nothing but bread for 2 months to save up to buy 19 albums. Priorities.

Everyone moved on to streaming except kpop and jpop groups without album sales kpop groups would look very nugu comparing them to western artists streams. Imagine if kpop moved on from album sales, bgs would have nothing going for them, not charing in korea and weak streams. That's when you know kpop is very niche.

Western artist mass buy too and Taylor’s latest albums were like kpop albums

I was shocked when i saw ariana grande albums only get like 500k sales and that's on a chart that includes digitals. Western artist sales are not impressive except for a few super popular acts like adele and tswift

Western acts tried to get their fans to buy albums by bundling.. buy a sweater get an album free.. some even sold condoms with free albums.. they tried really hard to get fans to buy albums but western stans don’t part their money easily I guess. Now the act of bundling is prohibited so western acts are heading towards producing kpop like albums.. like Taylor’s recent albums.
