why did got7 fall off?

    were they really declining? I thought they weren't

    got7 were doing very well but because they're from jyp, people expected them to be a competition for exo or bts maybe. but tbh I think it's even a suprise skz is doing this well, probably cause they write some of their own songs. Most jyp boygroups weren't competing for the nr. 1 spot but some people forget. They're better at girlgroups tbh.

    In my humble opinion, I think GOT7 is very successful. But the biggest reason why they couldn't be bigger and their sales, streaming, digitals stagnated years ago, was because of the lack of a definited identity for the group in years until like 2019-2020 when I feel like they found themselves, but It was kinda late. I think It made people lose interest.


    JYP tried everything for them and most of the concepts and sounds didn't fit the group very well. It's like JYP didn't know what to do with them. Maybe If the agency let the members be more vocal about their musical direction than they were like the boys wanted, they could come with better ideas for what fits the color of GOT7 the best.


    Apart from the identity they had everything: talented/all-rounder and charismatic members with good variety skills, great chemistry etc.


    This is my personal impression on the group, I can be wrong!

    JYP just doesn't know how to maintain fame well, they need a new marketing team, their team tactics are old
