How & why aespa could be bigger than red velvet in less than a year?

    They already are... As to why idk, they have no dead weight, maybe that

    Lets wait for their next comeback. RV has given us multiple hits aespa has only given one yet.

    but in all honestly red velvet released bad songs (except for be natural) in their debut year and are very hit or miss. aespa have a similar concept for all of their songs, so are able to attract more fans while red velvet have many casual stans who only like some of their songs or concepts (red or velvet). sm should've been more consistent with rv.

    Because aespa have very unique concept. Yes Uri RV is unique too but Aespa concept is just, too new and people will always looking foward how their concept work in every comeback. While RV, they debut at the mid of their big artist in the same company have a huge controversy/news and it overshadowed them. Plus not only in their debut, during their comeback too. And not to say their debut is too rush, Sm released their teaser like few days before their debut without an announcement to make.

    I haven't liked a song that aespa has released where as I'll say there's maybe 3 RV songs I like, so for me it's not really the music it's most the branding. I'm a 3rd gen stan and I can't even tell you what their brand is w/o googling it or reading it off the official wiki, where as there colleagues (BP and TWICE) have very clearly defined ones that make them more attractive to stan.

    For starters the market is even bigger than in 2014. Second, its become so saturated that a lot of GGs are flopping right now so aside from being from SM, it was easier for them to stand out.
