Why is everybody making everything I said so extreme? I never said stans have to brag, fight, and stream constantly so it feels like people are exaggerating what I said to make it seem ridiculous. I don't do any of those things and find it annoying too. All I asked was how are people stans if they don't care about a group? i.e never talking about them, not engaging or checking out any posts about them, never watching content, not even knowing or caring when they have a comeback. Even doing half of those would be the basics of stanning so it's not a crazy thing to ask.

There are plenty of users who fit into this category. And it's always fun or annoying to watch when they don't get the group context/meme/ info and we need to explain it. They only know the surface level or stereotypical info about the group which non group stan already knows and you'll often find them repeating same comment in every thread.
And before people cancel me and say that you can't gatekeep this or that, these type of users get sus day by day when you see them writing same comments for more than 4 months.
And I am not exaggerating, when I saw this thread I could only think of that one obvious user who claims to be a multi but whenever I see them in my faves related thread it's all about writing- "damnn AB company will never stop mistreating EFG group".

That's what happens in Anons, people take it personally to their situations and reply with extreme ones.
Though I understand what you mean and one possible reason given here already is they don't get along with the people from that fandom here or people who usually post about the group.
I think the problem in this reason comes when you don't say anything positive about the group but regularly give your 'criticisms'. If you don't like interacting with the fandom here on the more positive or neutral threads why would you do so the other way around?
Some of them are too obvious and do it just so they can get away with getting hate towards the group.

stans like you are the reason people stay away from their fandom, the audacity to judge whether someone is a fake fan or not based on whether they knew that your fave once upon a time said they dont wipe or some other useless trivia

Also, I have the guts to admit that I am not that into a group, or just a casual fan or fell out of stanning rather than keeping up with the fake persona of commenting repeated replies just to validate themselves.
and I never said about watching "specific" content rather I was pointing the zeal to write the same repeated comments in different threads. I understand that some groups have a lot of content- NCT, ITZY AND TWICE and even their stans cant keep up.

Why would your account dedicated to kpop on a kpop forum not be the place where you talk about your favorite groups? You have 100s to 1000s of posts about other groups but not this one group you apparently stan? Make it make sense.
Intimidating fandoms is a dumb reason as I've seen this with even the least intimidating fandoms and whats so intimidating about writing about a group you like? Unless if the only thing you have to say is criticisms as another user mentioned, in which case yeah, you don't like the group that much if you only have bad things to say and can think of literally nothing else to write.

And I've seen fans making posts about even the most nugu of groups on here, even if only 1 or 2 people engage.

Just look at the posts from the person above you, it can be disheartening to post when there are people who will consider you a fake stan or judge how much of a fan you are based on how much you know about the group.

Talking about myself. I'm a multi and I engage in all my faves' posts here and there. But there are two groups I engage more and make threads while I don't do the same for others, not because I don't love my other faves, I'm actually pretty engaged in their content. It's just that these two faves I'm more engaged here, I'm more close to the AKP Fandom than my other groups' fandoms. I feel more "included" and confortable to interact with them here, because I connected to them more and made friends in those fandoms, unlike my other fandoms. So It's just not fair to make assumptions like that as If we are "fake stanning".
