SNSD's album sales were the best among the 2nd Gen ggs and they weren't too far off! The Boys sold 400K, which was pretty huge for 2011.
Actually The Boys sold over 500K, the Korean album sold 460k+ in Korea and 105k+ in Japan ☺️

The korean version is listed on gaon with 460k+ sales until 2015 and it's safe to think it didn't sell more copies due to lack of stock.

Not really, what’s listed in Gaon for The Boys is only the total sales in Korea, however the sales in Japan, Taiwan and USA isn’t listed. You can check it here.
