Why do people think the SMCU and Aespa are tied at the hip?

SM said they’ll use Aespa to introduce the SMCU, which they already did in that mini trailer. But I saw a bunch of people asking where is part 2 now that Aespa has a comeback again. But obviously Aespa’s musical world is in a different but parallel one to the SMCU, and hence it’s independent from it.

Whatever next part, they are working on it separately and don’t need to follow Aespa’s schedule.

Like I said, Aespa’s musical world is different from the SMCU. It’s not Aespa bringing the SMCU, it’s them joining it when the time is due. In this occasion their focus is just the song.

Yes but many expected it during comeback season (which is not necessary) because the episodes are tied to their title songs. First episode was called Black Mamba and teased the title Next Level.

Fans expect things all the time. Unless SM clearly states something they can’t act like SM broke a promise
