How SM groups doing so well digitally?

NCT charting good and Aespa having national hit while other big 3 groups like txt, enhypen, itzy, skz, treasure etc can't do well? It's very strange cause nct and aespa songs also aren't gp friendly, while txt have the most gp friendly song 🤔

Itzy is not doing well because they are releasing trash songs after wannabe.

NCT is not even doing that well just better than usual and as good as Itzy latest release. Aespa has like 2 songs, one is a hit and Black mamba just did okeyish. Itzy loosing its appeal due to their consecutive bad releases and the other groups are still kinda nugu there compared to nct plus no one cares about bgs.

NCT overall are not charting well digitally.

Aespa charted well with one song but had two songs that didnt chart well.

Its mainly due to luck of the song and how big your fandom is in NCT case.

Girls usually do good when it comes to chart, so that leaves us with SM and JYP

YG, only has blackpink as girl group and just this 2H, only AKMU and Lisa released a song so far. SM has comebacks for their groups ALMOST EVERY WEEK. gp is prob more interested for winner than yoon solo. ikon was kind of a hit and miss, but they kind of lost relevancy due to 2019 scandal.

For HYBE, most of them are young groups and also boy groups. 4th gen bg don't chart or at least peak at the bottom of the charts due to fandom power. BTS is doing good, svt also charted well but it's ost.

For SM, taeyeon, and aespa had big hits. Rv also had a successful comeback. nct did good because of big k-fandom backing up. dream got gaon no. 1 but dropped a week after

for jyp... all i can say is that i don't love itzy tt's this year, i think twice tt did fairly well, just like rv... and SKZ is a 4th gen bg

The charts aren't what they used to be. It's easier for some groups to chart now.

Saying that though boy groups is difficult to chart regardless of gp friendly music or good music.

Itzy subpar charting I think is because of a string of so-so songs. Bad song from big group may chart ok but the next time less people anticipate so charting is sometimes a reflection of the last release.

Sticker destroyed FLO chart and was #8 on MelOn Top100, multiple all-kills and its still charting okay 2 weeks later. This is probably due to the size of the NCTzen fandom. Ya'll making excuses just to make it seem like nct isn't big lmaoo. Cope harder

The biggest event is JYP digitals dropping really bad with all their acts rather than SM having 2 hit songs with aespa and Taeyeon and RV barely doing okay. NCT's Korean fandom is underestimated by most, they can make them chart for a while but I wouldn't really say they're doing amazing

because SM is a freaking genius look at all the group concepts they don't just release random concepts era to era they have plans and direction. At the end of the day it's much more fun to follow structure and see where it leads than randomness
