My ranking:
1. Now - I loved the grungey sound and aesthetic this era. Chemistry's photobook also had a jaw dropping amount of skinship and who doesn't like porn, amirite. Jokes aside Chemistry was a solid EP with a solid title. "I Like" makes me feel so clubby and trashy.
2. Retro Future - Simple song but extremely underrated. Her vocals are so nice here especially with the quality production. Triple H was serving retro visuals and music years before everyone was doing it in 2020. P-nation needs to sign in Hui and continue Triple H.
3. Trouble Maker - Her first Trouble Maker EP/Single and still one of her best. Legendary title track and the B-sides are great as well. Trouble Maker's MAMA performances are always so risqué and provocative. We need this in Kpop again...
4. 365 Fresh - Great song, love the problematic suicide triggers in the video. Iconic video ending. I wasn't a fan of the group's styling though, especially the faux freckles.
5. Oppa Is Just My Style - I was never a huge fan of Gangnam Style so this one was meh. Also I don't know how I feel about her Pikachu voice.
6. Ping Pong - By far her weakest co-ed single, if not single overall. Has that low budget saxophone dance break chorus that should've been left in the mid 2010s. Pre-chorus was actually promising, but in the end the whole song sounded like a bunch of other P-nation songs mashed together. Her visuals this era were a bit unflattering but it was very colorful and I'm not totally opposed to it, I just wish the song sounded as eccentric and experimental as the aesthetic.
What's your ranking? I won't hate yours so don't hate mine, it's just for fun people..
