well lusting over an idol is normal but it's only a problem if it becomes excessive...

  • and uhh...did this repressed memory traumatize you my fried?

and uhh...why did you suddenly bring it up now?

sure try different things to take your mind off things since it's normally not healthy to constantly obsess over an idol...

  • and uhh...did this repressed memory traumatize you my fried?

and uhh...why did you suddenly bring it up now?

    dunno

I just think about it sometimes

I just thought it was a really peculiar-looking glove at the time

I mean I was on the right track for a six-year-old.

Now that I think about it, why do I know so many comdom brands like I've never actually paid attention so why am i able to name something like that off the top of my head :/

I'm such a weird kid lol

I guess that's what Eminem meant when he wrote stan :peperain: it's very common nowadays for people to be obsessed with idols and celebrities, I mean life's pretty boring. :pepepizza:

My novel will soon turn into a movie, then Johnny notices me, watches the movie, them we get married.

TBH the whole goal of kpop is for fans to form parasocial relationships with idols. :pepe-comfy:

  • well the issue is are you interested in this person whether as a partner or just a fling? if so then do it...you're an adult with the ability to make your own decisions...

but if the only reason you are doing it is to seek validation for yourself then maybe that's not the right path for you...

have you ever heard a sane normal person running around claiming that "I'm sane I'm sane"

  • some...not all though...

why is that certain people can remain "normal" whilst others can't??

I've always believed more fans that have issues (mentally or in their life) seem to be the more harder stans that have huge parosocial relationships with idols, I mean I can count how many times fans have said "X group has saved my life" referring to how they wanted to die but after being introduced to K-pop they form a placebo effect thinking a kpop group really did help them through it when in reality a kpop group or idol cannot cure you of any mental illnesses. TBH any kpop idol can be used as a projecting person for kpop fans, like when a lot of lgbtq fans claim an idol is gay and say they hate men, like with irene from RV. Or when fans started to project their mental health onto jennie and such. It's weird, this whole parasocial-projecting thingy is very prominent in the kpop world.

IDK what my point is but I just feel like fans who have issues in their life seem to do a lot of this stuff, but also some fans can develop this weird relationship with idols because of how addicting kpop is, and how kpop companies make idols feel relatable and down to earth, like with bang chan from stray kids, so many stays use him as a coping thing, like chan has saved my life, or chan understands me.

I can definitely see where one is coming from but is it not up to the individual fan (or their parents if that fan is underage) to curtail or limit their obsession? that's individual responsibility no?

just like I'm selling a product - fast food - if you as a person who cannot control your own eating habits then why is it up to me to actively prevent you from eating my product? when most times people can control themselves?

TBH a lot of fans are underage, and their parents don't understand nor care about what their child is into, I know my mom literally does not watch what I watch on the internet, she thinks kpop is a phase i'll get over. So I think this is why so many fans continue with this behavior. I still think It's very easy to lose control over something you use as a coping mechanism, whether it's good to a normal person, like fast food can be used as a eat coping mechanism by a lot because it's so addicting, so maybe you as a person are not inherently responsible for others eating your food, but you do make your product addicting to consumers.

  • in which case go for it...like I said you're an adult woman who can make up her own mind...there's nothing wrong with adult activities provided it's consensual...

true but when i just asked him what he would do to me he said, and i quote

    "make u cry

    use u like a toy

feel how tight u are like a toy

use u for my own entertainment

i'm not a good person don't expect much chivalry"

gives me flashbacks to what happened with my teacher. so having second thoughts.

  • ok then such words should give you pause to reconsider...

that does not sound like the words of someone who has your best interests at heart...

and again I would agree with you but that's the fault of the parent...not the product's manufacturer? no?

well if it's something that is inherently addicting like a drug then I would agree...then there are examples of things which can cause addiction like porn or fast food or gambling or even kpop for example...because those things can but not always the individual should bear more of a responsibility - the product maker cannot distinguish who uses or consumes their product so if the majority of the people who do consume the product are doing so without adverse effects why should they cater to those who may suffer because of it? no?

I guess your right, since I don't think Kpop companies care if there fans develop these relationships, I'm sure kpop companies want fans to stay addicted for as long as they can.

and I'm sure they do since that parasocial relationship is and can be like a drug but as fans - because we know of it and thus are aware of the issues it has caused in others if not ourselves...then we can learn to be above it's effects? maybe? lol

then again the realisation of an issue is only the first step...whether we can detach ourselves from that parasocialiaty is another...

  • I did not doubt that you write good stuff...

and again this is probably the same issue for you FeLiNa

the mere fact that you pondered such means you are aware of the situation and the potential issues it may arise btu whether you can do anything to stop it or have the will power to is up to you...
