this is funny for me whenever they mention weed
because they also hate China
yet it was China who had opium-wars
not Korea, so why they are scared of some plant?
like every country is allowing CBD because they know that it helps the elderly bear the pain of life when they had cancer or other messed up illnesses
im not sure.
the actress practicaly ended her career due to she was sentenced to probation in 2015.
so to me it seems she is totally unknown by now and they mentioned the smoking skandal only to remind the people who she is. Otherwise they wouldn even had news because she isnt really a celebritiy anymore.
i guess its just unfortunate and speaks to the cliche of backminded koreans.

if they would be homophobic they probably wouldnt even bring out an artikle because she isnt a person of public interest anymore. Also the artikle are written neutraly.
just stated that she announced she had a girlfriend. What she did in her career and that she ended it with sentenced to 6 month in prison and probation.
They also mentioned that she is reflecting on the weed skandal in the past and had no plans to return to broadcasting.
but she is planing on opening a youtube channel with her girlfriend.
so to me it seems like promotion for the girls instead of bashing them.
My guess is that if she didn't have this weed thing on her then they would've found something else to direct their homophobia-fueled hate towards
