  • Rip jp armys, the battles for tickets are gonna be 3x harder.

I predicted after 2 weeks of release that Dynamite is gonna be the biggest song for a kpop group and the biggest song for 3rd gen.

While the push in US and the success there is kinda logic, overperforming ofc but still easy to predict, what's happening in SK and JP is mind-blowing. Everyone told us that SK and JP are not very happy with full-english songs but Dynamite kinda screws that narrative now. I'm still fascinated about what's happening and I fail to understand what makes Dynamite so successful in these markets. Are the catchyness and the replay value of the song so high that it breaks all the normal values?

  • I still can't at Japan overtaking Indonesia on YouTube. Plot twist of the decade lmao

Also, is that USA putting on a fight with India for that 3rd place? 🤔

The rest of BTS discography is doing amazing.

I'll be happy if they add more tour dates for Japan once they start touring.

I have the feeling they will play safe and start with Korean and Asian concerts before securing venues on other continents... so all the best for our Asian ARMYs, I think some of you may see them sooner lol

  • Their next album might sell a million.

Are the catchyness and the replay value of the song so high that it breaks all the normal values?

Yes. Dynamite is super catchy and it has the light and bright atmosphere people want right now. And its replayable, it doesnt become annoying, since its not abrasive in any way, its very soft in a way.

  • To see that an artist is really popular and loved in Japan, you should look at DVD sales. Because singles and album sales are always inflated somehow using gimmick. But not every fan is willing to buy expensive DVDs. For example, AKB48 girls can't sell 100K DVDs even if they sell 1 million singles each time. On the contrary, Johnny's groups can sell even the moderately popular ones for 150-200K. Arashi's last 5x20 DVDs have sold 1 million, and their average DVD sales are always between 500-700K. The recent growth of BTS in DVD sales also shows how much they has grown in Japan. It was the first time on the Oricon 2020 list that they had more than 100K sales and this first day sales figure shows that the growth will continue.^^

  • Their Japanese numbers are just astounding. They need to push in Japan this year with some quality stuff seeing the momentum they have gained.

  • BTS is already the favorite in Japan, if the UTAGE program covered Dynamite it means that the PG is really listening to the song.
