In your opinion what is harder to get: Solid fanbase or General public support?

General Public is harder but I agree with BUTTERBOYS over the division. There’s just an inherent audience for these two that makes hurdles different for them.

However, it’s kinda silly to use the “one hit wonder” as a point of discussion. Do you guys realize how rare one-hit wonders even are? Most of the so-called hit songs didn’t even last THAT long to be called that.

It is for an actor/actress, but for a musician, public doesn't care much about the singer's looks. Not to mention few actor/actress that looks good also get criticized for their acting.

GP, definitely. Anyone can have a solid fanbase as long as there are enough people who passionately like them/their work. GP is a lot more diverse people you need to impress.

Let's take a song for example,

60% GP and 40% fandom....

GP can chart it high for a year if it goes viral.... And fandom can make it stay afloat for a long time before it eventually falls off from the chart....
