    As to BTS filling stadiums, maybe one or two concerts in metros, more for the catchet value than anything, the rich will line up to attend.

    But the percent that does know Kpop, yes among then BTS is probably the most recognized brand and that .01% concentrated in the metro, will surely fill a stadium or two, if BTS performs in India. Other kpop groups not so much.


    Otherwise hyperbole is hilarious distortion. But then lot of i-fans think Kpop dominates SK, whereas the reality is that K-pop in korean is primarily consumed by the teenagers and drops off drastically when they hit college.

    Thanks for your input, we are Indians and aware of the music industry too. This chart is relevant internationally as it is supported by IFPI and the big music labels.


    P.S. BTS were the most popular Kpop act in India even before singing English songs.

    This is an international chart, can you stop crying about Indian music market and Kpop being niche when the chart concerned does not even include regional/local acts.

    BTS was most streamed group here, even before dynamite. Atleast get your facts right lmao

    Thing is BTS brand is known and that is what matters in end. BTS, swift, bieber , shakira are only one capable of selling out tickets here. Noone else

    So yes they are most important non indian act


    They don't have to be known by every indian..They can sell tickets which is most important. It is big thing for international artists

    This is a unique one, an IU stan crying about Kpop. Dismissing BTS' popularity in India as just being driven by English songs while propping IU up in India cause of some fanclub. Lmao. Then he has to move to dismissing Kpop in the Korean market.
