Savage love was not getting anywhere in Korea without BTS. That's why it is credited to them. The OG song is not the one charting, the BTS one is. It got #1 on Hot100 because BTS were on it. No one is taking credit for it's remaining charting on hot 100. But credit should be given where it's due.

BWL would've worked without Halsey, maybe not the radio spins but it would've been a hit regardless.

Overall, i think this is fandom streaming. With GP user base declining, fandoms become even more powerful. 100k fans couldnt chart their faves' song back in 2018 on Melon 100, but now, 100k UL fans are enough to chart on Melon 100.
