I never used YT to listen to music, never find it good. YouTube is for casuals who only listen singles, I'm a music fan, my pleasure is to discover music and listen them even if I dont like it. YouTube is just awful to make it work, before Spotify I used to spend hours looking for pirate downloads of albums I wanted to listen, since I discover about Spotify back in 2012 I started to use a Canadian VPN so I could use it
Years later it was released in Brazil, It was the first service I subscribed in my life. After that I subscribed pretty much all major streaming services ever relesead in my country Deezer, Tidal, Apple Music, Groove, Amazon, YouTube Music (the on demand service not the video website). I like a couple of them and some of them I used for quite some time like Deezer, but alas I always come back to Spotify I like it, it's affordable, attend my needs and I'm used to it. I don't mind changing services however, it will be a no brainer if Spotify just ceases to appeal me, I will subscribe another service and that's about it
