its best to not massage it but instead to move the arm around that is sore. It does seem counter intuitive but natural muscle movement helps the vaccine along your bloodstream whereas massaging it chaotically spreads it around, potentially reducing the amount of vaccine that reaches your immune system.
i got my first covid vaccine yesterday

Same.
it's slowly starting here that we can take our masks off if fully vaccinated depending on the place you go. i will be happy the day we don't have to be forced to wear them anymore. I feel like it's better to get the shot and keep yourself safe and others safe, than to put it off. I even hate needles but i did it lol

Well here you still have to wear them
Since only 30% are vaccinated now, we have to still wear it to show solidarity and not give others the idea to resist and also keep it off.
Thr only nice thing is that i can finally meet my parents without a mask on. I haven't seen their faces like that in months.

I've gotten the exact opposite story in my fam... my sister and her friend went and got the J&J vaccine and were down (kinda sick, nose sniffles, headache, etc) for a week and a half whereas my dad and I got the pfizer vaccine and after each shot we only got sore muscles for the day and the day following so ours weren't that bad. I can't say the same for the moderna shot though... I've heard that the moderna vaccine was pretty bad for my cousin; she had to pause practicing dance for awhile because all the major muscle groups were sore for a week after each shot.

Idk, I'm just going off my experience and research. The only reason why I was inoculated with J&J was that the research I did claim J&J has fewer side effects and it's only one shot.
