How many people actually play Monopoly properly, though? (As in, they follow the actual written rules of the game):
1. If a player lands on a property and declines to buy it, the property immediately gets auctioned off to the highest bidder amongst all the other players. (Yes, that means if a player lands on the most-expensive lot of the game and can't afford to buy it, other players can immediately swoop in to buy it for $50 instead of $400.)
2. You have to develop houses / hotels evenly across all properties of a colour group. You can't build 3 houses on one property and zero on the others of the same colour. They must all have the same number of houses before adding more.
3. When selling houses / hotels back to the bank to pay off debts, you sell them back at half-price, not full-price. (Yes, that means you'll go bankrupt quicker. Sucks for you, this is capitalism.) You also have to sell them in reverse-order of them being developed, not any houses of your choosing. (So yes, the latest hotel that you finally scraped up enough money to buy on the most-expensive property in the game? That's the first one to go. At half-price.)
4. You don't Get out of Jail free after three turns. You remain stuck there even after you fail to roll doubles three times. Until you pay the $50 fine.
