I will agree it was tolerable but her success was kinda downplayed. especially with all those comparison threads. I'm glad blinks didn't focus on the negativity and just cheered for her debut.

I think there are some people who will always downplay success when it comes to BP. Look at the amount of people who called Ice Cream a flop when it was their highest charting single internationally!
"Ice Cream" is a children's song that was meant to be played on Nickelodeon on Saturday mornings.

the problem is they were being comparing to BTS. In front of BTS, literally all groups look like flops so comparisons with them is just useless. At least, Blackpink charts on Hot 100. I'm still yet to find another group charting on it.

Exactly. People are so quick to hate on them. I mean, Blackpink could go down in history and people would still hate. The hate that ice cream got was so unnecessary. I get that some people don’t like it, but to call it a flop when it charted so high internationally is laughable.
