Why are gay drama so funny?

Oh recommend some for me then. I have never seen japanese gay drama. Usually thai or chinese that i can watch
IDK what dramas on Viki are all about gay realationships but I watched on viki "Love on the line" and "Mood Indigo" (the second one has a lot 18+ scenes, just to warn you). Another one I know is called "His" (I only heard of that cause a member of a boygroup I like plays in there)

I never liked any BL drama because they always seem repetitive and not quite interresting
but few months ago i watched Cherry magic
and it's a really fun , really cute BL drama
