Just asking
Does it make sense for international (western) Kpop fans to degrade Korean traditional music/less western-influenced Korean music?

Changed the title of the thread from “Does it make sense for international (western) Kpop fans to put degrade Korean traditional music/less western-influenced Korean music?” to “Does it make sense for international (western) Kpop fans to degrade Korean traditional music/less western-influenced Korean music?”. -
Which song do you consider less western influenced I can’t think of any unless you mean like those that use traditional East Asian instruments or idk trot?

music rooted more in Korean culture and meets Korean's tastes. sorry I can't express it well
-
Isn't that on the racist/xenophobic/whatever the term is side? Why degrade a Korean group for singing songs influenced from their country?
-
Nope, it comes off pretty xenophobic.
-
-
Sorry but Trot is terrible.. outside of that it’s pointless to even have an opinion on Traditional korean music when you stan kpop.

Hmm... well a lot of international fans are pretty entitled and ignorant when it comes to K-Entertainment. They think Kpop is as important there as it is for them. Therefore they end up being very disrespectful towards their taste in music.
But Koreans in general are more into Ballads/Folk and Trot Music than Kpop and even here it’s more popular among the youngsters. That’s why you just have a few Kpop Groups who end up being household names.
