Dynamite isnt a Korean song. Its English and Im pretty sure through a lot of threads and polls herebmost dont consider it Kpop.
Feel Special is, afaik, the first and only song sung in Korean to reach this milestone.

Not really. I mean it has about as much claim to being a Kpop song as Kura Kura...hell even Poppin Shakin since its from a Korean company.

They may have missed all the media coverage when dynamite was written off as the first kpop song to debut on billboard

At least just clarify the record and call it the first Korean song or something. Don't write off dynamite. It is a song made by a kpop act

Be sensible when those others wont. If western stans all it Kpop let them. But how many people consider something like Ice Cream, Kura Kura or Stay Gold Kpop songs. I mean these are supposed to be Korean pop songs right.
If Im driving in my car and Dynamite cones on the radio what is Korean about that? How would I know? Cos its put out by a Korean company and group? I mean Niziu are a korean group by that same standard right? Or what.

I do not think it being sang in a different language in those two places helped it, it was rather a disadvantage when kpop acts have been releasing english versions of their songs and they barely chart well. Just because a song made an impact that does not go along with your narrative does not mean you can write it off. If a kpop group sing Japanese pop songs, many consider them as jpop songs

Except it did help it and thats a fact. Look at the stats and performance of other songs sang in Korean and youll get your answer.
Radio, TV, playlist, etc are far more friendly and easier to push.
Buuuuttt Army narative often changes since for years and years they regularily claimed BTS songs struggled was cos of language and convienietly went back to that excuse for LGO when it dropped rapidly in those markets days to weeks after release.
