if i had to choose then i would be attack on titan. there were far more characters i liked there than in code geass

On the topic of overrated characters I gave Lelouch as an example, but Eren isn't close to the same tier as Lelouch IMO. I can watch Lelouch doing his thing all season long. He was one of the best things in CG. Eren may be the protagonist, but I didn't read AoT because of him. I guess plotwise in terms of who did his best and best villain I agree with the assessment.

You didn't like Eren because of his character or because he not the center of the manga?
But yeah I feel like Lelouch had more determination to change thing in his world, while for Eren it was just his destiny...

I dont see Lelouch as being overrated but that show left a huge emotional impact on me.

I get it. CG was such a big deal during its heyday. I like the character yet I can still hold the opinion he is overrated. This is just my own opinion and it shouldn't affect the enjoyment anyone has for these characters. Overrated =/= crap. Great characters can be viewed as overrated too and probably most people will name high rated characters as one.

I don’t see Lelouch as a villain he was definitely an anti-hero tho and that’s where I think their differences start . For me I’d pick Lelouch all the way

Eren had a better and more interesting character development. Lelouch stayed more or less the same throughout the show while Eren started of as your typical shounen protagonist and then became season 4 Eren.
I easily like Lelouch more and would argue he’s a better villian. Lelouch always had dubious morals and is way more charismatic than Eren. Also smarter and more strategic. We got to follow him closely and hear the thought process behind all his actions.
Eren was pretty boring pre-season 4. One of the reasons I liked season 3 so much was because it focused less on him compared to the first two. And he only really played the villain in one season.
