whats your ideal first date location

I don't know what's the best but it's the best on a day off from work etc so you can fully focus on the date if it's early on in relationship

I suppose going to movies so we can have something to talk about.

I have never been on an date technically... I have been on crapshows. Many of the people who asked me out multiple times (I am super weird and uncomfy with dating due to my past trauma), would choose somewhere to go and then make me foot the whole bill at the end of the night, like I do not mind splitting but asking me out, then buying expensive ish and then making me pay for it when I did not ask for the night out is nasty. Most of my relationships just happen with friends out of nowhere and end well (Except my on again off again for the last 3 years, we have had a few bad breakups in the many of them) and I tend to take 2 years or so between commitments so far. I am still friends with all of my exes except my abusive one who is in prison for the next 15 years.
I have been taken to boba and comic shops randomly by my friends I have talked to about possibly dating but never have and they are always super sweet about it, I would not mind even just having an date cook dinner and put on a anime movie.

Typically I feel sparks without conversation if you know what I mean.

Lunch at a cafe or strolling in a shopping district. I like the idea of a museum or art gallery date, but I've never been on that type of date!
Going to a beach with a small amusement park (Coney Island, Santa Monica Pier) sounds nice too.

A restaurant then a movie. It’s been that long ago since I was on a first date. I’m glad I don’t have to do that stuff anymore.

ive been to museum dates and they're really cool trust me
strolling ( shopping district works too ) in an interesting place surrounded by strangers naturally makes you feel together imo
as for cafe
everyone always talks about cafe
i dont get the concept
its such a boring place that contributes nothing at all

Amusement park would be so much fun! Especially fairs around Halloween.

Lunch at a cafe (or restaurant) is similar to dinner at a restaurant, except it's for people who want to avoid first dates at night. It contributes less to first date sex but some people do enjoy "afternoon delight."
