oof_sfx.mp3 but seriously all the corporate driven food places are either giving paper straws or no straws at all. only the small stores that had stocked up for one reason or another on plastic straws are going to sell with plastic until they run out. then they might implement paper straws or smth else.

I noticed Fast Food places offer a plastic spoon with the Milk Shakes. Can buy Plastic Straws, so the ban must be for restaurants.
An impressive paper straw came with a soft-drink from a food court. On the outer sides of the Paper straw was reinforced with a spiral rib of dense paper.

Yeah they still have plastic straws here. I think the only place that has really made an effort is Starbucks around my area lol.

Yes since 2019 California restricts "single use" plastic straws in "Full Food Service" places. Full Food Service means places that serve prepared food. Fast Food is considered a Full Food Service. I bet Food Trucks and Cart Vendors would be considered Full Food Service. Customers can request a plastic straw, but it can not be offered without this request.
Cities have taken it a step further by Banned plastic straws.
