I don't understand why people perceive this as a waste of money? Wattpad will sublabel with WEBTOON, which is a another sublabel of Naver. Just as the Japanese TV series and film industry took almost 90% of its materiel from anime and manga, WEBTOON has now begun selling its mangas to TV series. More than 1500 books have been adapted to TV serials and movies on Wattpad or have been published as books. I think Naver took Wattpad by looking beyond being a story platform.
