I kinda expected that from Jessi to be honest she has expressed disliking the super pop bubble she was put in most of her career and loves rock music so it was no shock to me. I can understand why some people did not like it but I feel self expression can be really good for an artist. Bigbang's debut and predebut EPs were horridly reacted to, but now fans look back and love them a lot. Everyone must experiment to grow.

I think that’s the point of P Nation. The agency is just there for the basic things but everthing else is up to the artist. The style, the song, the promotion. Total freedom which is pretty fantastic, especially since it’s the only agency that offers that. His responses to scandals are also pretty legendary. He basically just says that the idols private life is none of the agencies business. Completely hands off.

yeah but you know Jessi herself said that she already knew that the song won't do too well, but in interview she admitted that she will be mad when she won't make #1 on charts again... but the thing is not only this song didn't had instant effect but also it doesn't have longevity it's 94 on Genie and around 60 place on Melon.
I'm not saying freedom is bad, the overall freedom is good. But there should be someone who pays attention to music quality like Kim Jin Woo and Kim Doo Hoon in RBW do...

But isn’t that the thing, that she can make decisions like that. Maybe not always the smartest but her own decision nonetheless. If she or the other artist wanted the agency to have a “stop” button they could sign somewhere else.
I feel like Psy essentially created the agency he himself wish he would have been signed under. A place where everyone can do what they want and have 100% artistic freedom.
