Girl, why Pledis? Out of all of them?

Hopefully they treat them better than they treated Pristin and Fromis.

They debuted when Pledis was independent, and now Pledis is part of Hybe

TWS did do well when it debuted so at least the new act will do reasonably well initially

With Le Sserafim concentrated in USA and Illit in Japan, this is a good chance for the Pledis NG to do well

I know there's the Lee sisters, but maybe that issue was they didn't want to debut them in the same group. You might be right but I guess that situation is very rare to have sisters pursuing idol career.

I agree that the jyp new girl group is most likely not ready this year and maybe it's 2027 or 2028. I think they're taking their time with it because they have 3 active girl groups and don't need a 4th.

That’s true. But tbh JYP not having a 5th gen kpop girl group yet is weird. They haven’t missed a generation yet and trainees have been seen so I wonder what the hold up is.

They can most definitely manage multiple ggs since there’s different divisions so if jype don’t debut a gg soon they’ll miss out on 5th gen.

I think the hold up is they wanted to focus on Nmixx. It's why the group received a strong push in 2025 and it seems to have paid off with how well they're doing. We also have to remember they're managing 3 world tours with Twice, Itzy, and Nmixx . I assume they wanted to prioritize that because touring is where the money is at imo. I assume they'll debut their new GG late 2026 or 2027, but leaning towards 2027.
