For me, it’s Bts’s vocal line except Jungkook. I’m not even talking about preference here, but overall consistency. Especially for Jimin and Jin, their vocals sound more strained and unstable now compared to earlier years. That surprised me, because with experience, you’d expect more control, not the opposite. When someone make singing as their professionally careers for years yet still sounds more uncomfortable live, something clearly isn’t working.
For girl groups, Itzy is the first example I think of. I don’t know if it’s their songs, but their vocals haven’t improved much over time. Lia, as the main vocalist, hasn’t shown clear growth and Yuna’s nasal tone has honestly become harder to listen to. I thought Yeji would at least can carry them a bit vocally since she has presence but that didn’t really happen. Weirdly enough for me, Chaeryeong sounds the best now. Her tone feels more natural and pleasant compared to the others.
