SNSD are legends and obviously paved way for kpop of today, but BP are global which means world wide in all countries, even if they are not liked they are known. I love SNSD as well,

I'm also latin american and dynamite is probably the first ever kpop song that can be called popular or known around here. So please define "popular".
Damn someone had to go there. Didn't? Bts is surely more popular nowadays because kpop itself wasn't popular back them. These two groups were pretty big between nerds and weaboos at that time. they made a lot of kppp fans turn into fans, some of these fans surely are now fans of BTS and BP. Maybe in the u.s if anything cause that's a market many companies tried to pursue but failed pretty hard so I don't even know you can say they paved anything there either. To be completely honest, I think that SNSD make K-pop popular, but blackpink made it more mainstream. SNSD literally took over the world with Gee, and BP dominated with DDDD. I love SNSD and BP equally, but I think I’ll have to say bp.
