Imitation of American pop music is basically what kpop is.

Babymonster are relatively quite successful outside of Korea, so I doubt YGE cares.

it became it's own thing because of the linguistic differences between english and korean. korean pop songs just sound better. kinda how like anime was just an imitation of american cartoons but became it's own thing because of japanese sensibilities

Also, honestly, I don't understand Korean GP preferences at all.

They'll criticise if something is too English, but then they'll stream the ever loving christ out of a song like Small Girl or whatever it's called.

They need to decide, because they liked the lyrics in past releases
