SNSD trying to celebrate a 20th anniversary is laughable

  • The Avengers movies aren't good either, so you're kind of just proving my point with that comparison :siptear:

Who said it's good? I said it was fun, a brainless fun. Nothing more. But that doesn't make it bad. FOREVER1 is a million miles away from being a bad song. It's well-produced with decent lyrics. You can't say that about many Kpop songs these days. Especially in 2025.

Also, it's about personal taste, so again, there's no point arguing about what song is good.

No one said it was good. You said "Forever 1" is the "Endgame" of SNSD, to which I said makes sense since they're both not good :siptear:

  • Given that the 17th anniversary of the Former Owner of Edam Entertainment , now considered to be an actress by the Ministry of culture, was anticlimactic I doubt SNSD's 20th anniversary will be remarkable

  • Like I said, we can't expect groups older than 10 years to release music every year or even every 2 years. Even if the members want it, their agencies don't want to waste time and money, because Kpop fans only care about the new "shiny toys", and that's gonna happen to TWICE as well. They're "lucky" JYP doesn't have anyone else (girl group) who can make money for them, so they might survive another 2 years or so.

There's little precedent for a group remaining active after their 10th year, but that doesn't mean it can't or shouldn't happen. If the group wants it and they're still profitable, fans should hold the agency accountable for making it happen. You shouldn't have to be in a situation like Twice where their junior groups can't possibly replace them. Even if JYP actually finds success with another gg, they should continue supporting Twice for as long as the fans do.

In my opinion, it should happen, because it's not like their fans left them, it's just agencies don't think it's profitable, because the GP won't care about them as much as they in their early years. That's why companies starting with 7 year contracts. And I think that time period is much shorter now, just like their songs.💀

To be honest, it's all on JYP that no other girl group is even close to TWICE's achievements.

Also, TWICE's gonna be on the same SNSD route one day, that's for sure. I just read they will do a Part 2 of their World Tour. That's like 2 years of non-stop World Tour, basically. That's insane for multiple reason.

  • Only a MORON would think that SNSD has disbanded because SME would never let that happen as it would relinquish their IP or Intellectual Property.

SME is holding on to past Group members solely to hold their IPs.

    ALSO....

Even though SNSD hasn't been active as a group, SME has been promoting members, especially Taeyeon since their hiatus.

SNSD are the only genuine Kpop GG because their members aren't focused on Music rather, SME has put them into Acting and Musicals while the group still slayed the Charts.

  • They're the "only genuine Kpop GG" because they're not even focused on music? That's a very strange statement, to say the least. They may not be officially disbanded, but they're certainly not active either. If they were a western act, they'd be one of those groups whom reporters would have to constantly ask if they're still together or have any future plans, because it's been so long since they did anything that wasn't a temporary reunion.

While you are correct, the current situation is not that difference from earlier years. Except for 2 years 2009-2010, SNSD has never been an active group. They never focus on music as a group most of the time, only together occasionally after long hiatuses.

Kpop Idols aren't just Musicians, they are all round Entertainers as for Western Acts, some take years in between gigs.
