Not sure if I image things, but have not the amount of english lyrics compared to korean in the lyrics increased a lot lately?
Sure, it's a trend that have been going for years but feels like it have accelerated. In the early days it was mostly korean lyrics with some english words mostly in the choruses and hooks, but today it feels mostly it's english lyrics with some korean thrown in.
I just want melodies and harmonies back!

It's a bit concerning to me.
I wish they could return to balancing somehow.
yes I feel you loose the kpop flavour a bit if the korean lyrics are starting to become the minority instead of the majority.
Sure, it's not like it happen suddenly this year, but still I feel it more obvious now.

Yeah, I usually don't really mind it until it touches the ballads.
I Don't think the emotion is really conveyed.
Coz understanding of romance and the romance experience in Asia and western is kinda different. So when asian singer sing about Asia romance in English I feel like there's a disconnect.
Coz sometimes there's expression that can't really be translated well in English .
There always been a mix of both, with a steady decline in Korean and a rise in English. The thing I miss the most though is hooks and choruses in Korean. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of a single song from the last few years by a girl group/female singer where the hook was in Korean, but there were loads deep into 3rd gen still.
Edit - QWER is the only group that comes to mind.
Edit 2 - TripleS Girls Never Die, that’s another one, so I guess there are some, but a lot less indeed.
