On the hype level do you think TBL surpassed YG?

    Let's discuss!

  • Teddy is one of half of what made YG. The other being Grandpa-D. Without them, YG would've been long gone. Without Teddy, the company won't have as great a hit as they did with him (despite his faults...). Long story short, TBL has the potential to overtake YG, if he tackles other genres, and infuses it with the RnB aesthetic.

  • This whole comparison reminded me again how much kpop means to the Korean public. ADP coming out with a big hit, and Meovv doing better than BM on the charts right now, kind of makes all the concerts and streaming numbers BM achieved feel less impressive. The fact that neither Treasure nor BM has one clear hit song is really damaging YG’s brand image. As for the question TBL is doing great these days. I do think they might surpass YG eventually, depending on how YG moves forward, but for now, they’re not quite there yet.

An ironic thing would be if YG merged into TBL, eventually...
