YG completely underutilized Blackpink’s 2019 hype

  • I feel like after Kill This Love did so well internationally and the pink’s coachella performance gained them even more fans, what YG should’ve done was given them another comeback that year.

Like instead of touring, they should’ve used the momentum to their advantage and gave the girls another comeback (how you like that releasing around September/October would’ve been good).

I’ll never forget just how hyped the girls were in 2019, especially in the west. They could’ve been a staple girl group there as a mirror to BTS but of course YG just didn’t use the hype. :sweatr:

Nah, HYLT was released at the perfect time. YG was in shambles, and everyone was trying to see if the next BP would flop. The message of the song also fits during that time.

  • There’s no amount of explanation in the world to justify less than 40 songs in 6 years. Especially in K-pop. This is not a compromise, this is just negligence.
