The Big 4 debuted their 5th-gen representatives pretty early this generation

  • Tbh, I still see this gen as part of the 4th gen, but what can we do when the companies, idols, and media themselves already consider it the newest generation of K-pop?

Anyway, has anyone else noticed how fast this generation is moving for both girl groups and boy groups? Or has it always been like this, and I'm just noticing it now?

We're only in the first year in the 5th gen, and we already have so many new groups from the Big 4, like we all have representative from all of them this early. And that’s not even including the ones from midsize companies that are confirmed or rumored to debut this year.

Is this even healthy? Can company stans really keep up with all these groups? With how the Kpop market is right now, debuting new groups back-to-back doesn’t seem like the best idea.

  • competition begets competition - keeps those kpop groups on their toes

yes the kpop market is saturated but as long as the bigger companies continue to make money - nothing else matters - it's always the smaller and nugu companies that lose

  • My bad, I was listening to First Love by Adele while writing that, so I subconsciously wrote 'first' instead of 'second' :pepe-shame: . But yeah, they started with Zb1 in the middle of 2023
