Perhaps I'm the problem and stuck on trends from years ago but I just don't like the state of new jeans.

Don't get me wrong, I love nostalgia but I simply don't think the way forward is to completely give up innovation and rely on old ideas because they're "classics"

It's lazy and uninspired in the name of retroism.

Why did we go from the glory days of skinny to the shapeless, tasteless baggy style, flaired, bell-bottomed, boot-cut style etc.

It's unflattering and wearing them makes me feel like I got transported back in time to Home Improvement.

It ruins every fit.

Skinny Jeans on the other hand?
Always a hit

Fitted Jeans?
Also good
Truly timeless
While the skinny jean movement has largely faded out and been replaced by leggings, the thankfully short lived test tube baby that was jeggings, and yoga pants
I will always have fond memories of struggling to get on a pair of skinny jeans, feeling suffocated after and then becoming a pants high priestess once I adjusted
